Vaginal ultrasounds give a clearer picture, but why ultrasound everyone?  Look at what he is charging for this service. I once worked with a GP who was off on a O/S holiday. He did an awful lot of CTG's in the weeks leading up to departure. We discovered that he was charging for us doing the CTG's  [at a public hospital] and then charging to 'read' them. Seeing as how they never left the unit, we would ring him to say they were ok, [all were] we figured he was making spending money.
