What do you believe was the cause of your ID's getting mixed up and 
how did you determine that was the problem?
My External SCSI bus only has the Zip drive which is self terminating.

I'm sorry , are you saying you got the Maxtor running again? Just a 
matter of remounting or what? I do know that there were problems with 
on-board ATA controllers  and some drives in some of the G3s but not 
with PCI ATA cards. Anyway, sounds like you never really determined 
what happened to your ATA card?
