What do you believe was the cause of your ID's getting mixed up and how did you determine that was the problem? My External SCSI bus only has the Zip drive which is self terminating.
I had added a 2nd drive and they were competing for startup honors. I think that happened because I had accidentally turned an external scsi to ID#3, which was reserved for the internal CD. I thought that resetting the ID to another would solve the problem. It didn't. The computer (840AV) continued to retain the incorrect settings (as determined by Formatter One and SCSIprobe). I tried all the standard things such as keyboard DT rebuild and PRAM zap, switching the drive positions on the cable, etc. Nothing worked until I used Techtools 3 Pro to zap the PRAM. After that all the ID positions were correct. Then I replaced the battery just in case. No problems at all since. If you are using only one drive, are you using a jumper setting? If so try using no jumpers. _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8.
