CD-RW's are useful for this task; just burn, copy and erase. They're good for at least a thousand rewrites, but just take a little longer to put files on them than a Zip disk. Plus, some of us don't have Zip drives so we're stuck with CD's for files between 1.4 and 703 MB (more if you overburn or trim the lead-out, which can lead to some compatibility issues or damage the disc/recorder).

Trouble is, my Mac's CD-ROM can't read CD-RW media (though I haven't tried my new drive yet).
