CD-RW's are useful for this task; just burn, copy and erase. They're good for at least a thousand rewrites, but just take a little longer to put files on them than a Zip disk. Plus, some of us don't have Zip drives so we're stuck with CD's for files between 1.4 and 703 MB (more if you overburn or trim the lead-out, which can lead to some compatibility issues or damage the disc/recorder).Yes, of course, for occasional large amounts of data, CD is a good way to go. ISO 9660 I use, not hybrid since the Mac and PC can read this. I find zips and floppies (latter, not so much) so much easier to use for data under 95MB, there is something a bit wasteful and cumbersome about burning for temporary things...and burning is not more reliable in terms of results.
Trouble is, my Mac's CD-ROM can't read CD-RW media (though I haven't tried my new drive yet).
