My work system is the cast-off Sawtooth (we're definitely the cobblers children here); my home system is a upgraded beige DT, my wife's tangerine ibook and my brand new gifted to me Pismo, with a bad battery, bad DVD drive (only reads DVD's) and bad power supply.
But they're all running OS X.

When I do put it on my 604/ or G3 300MHz Macs i will find out if it is actually slower than OS 9. As OS 9 seems slower than 8.6
and so on back .
Every upgrade makes more of an overhead demand on the processor. I thing th disk I have is OS X 10.0.3.
And why don't you get a good job so you can get one of those new slick Mac G5 iMacs at least?
