I have 3 9500's with 2 SCA drives each in them. They all work
fine, and =
I didn't have to use any funny drive tools to format them. 1 has

on it, the other have OS X 10.2. Oh, and a couple used in external =
cases...
As far as jumpers, stick to just jumpering on the adapter, and
stick to =
just jumpering those jumpers, you KNOW you need to jumper, like

And what do you do if you want it at the end of a chain and
terminated? Not
want this? Use a special terminated ribbon cable? Is yours in the
middle of
a chain?
I have never had any luck terminating an SCA drive, meaning that they
always ended up needing to be in the middle of a chain. Internally I
made sure another drive was at the end of the chain and externally I
kept another device at the end of the chain.
I never had an adaptor that had any termination jumper. Some SCA
drives have had a jumper on the drive itself for termination (perhaps
they all did, I do not recall), but when I tried that I could not get
the drive to work.
Yet I have had several SCA drives over the years and they have always
worked well and been very reliable.
