I had no end of trouble at one stage with similar. I wanted just the 18G and my cd but no luck figuring anything that actually worked! I had to get an old 4G ordinary hd I knew could be terminated and id'd reliably and put it at the end of the chain. This is a very stable arrangement now (I suppose the 4GB spinning away is now and then useful for quick temporary back ups too... but it isnthere because I could not figure a way to terminate either my 18 or my cd... This way i just never set anything on the 18... it was just its natural self - default settings. -- David Elmo
