Just a lot of wasted space.  Also, no way to support old "Mac OS Standard" 
alongside "Mac OS Extended", but you're not using 8.1 and up anyway....

Breaking that drive up into other partitions would allow you to set the 
allocation block size down a bunch, which gives better storage efficiency, and 
better performance!  You can noticeably improve performance, on those older 
machines without spending ANY money...its worth doing.
