Tried to run sfc but win ME gives the message " Windows cannot find sfc you
may have typed the name wrong etc etc"
secondly I went to the suggested site and when I try and download the patch,
I get the error message "real download error access forbidden or
authentication method not supported details http/1.0 403 forbidden"
Can I just delete this file and be dunn with it.

Ok, it's either part of ME (or ME updates) or some drivers.
What did it say was the manufacturer or company, Microsoft
or some other? Looks like it's part of ME regarding DOS.

All the other links I found (that were in English) had the
same info on it. You may or may not need the patch, but
first I would run the system file checker (RUN: SFC) and
extract it off of the CD and reinstall the file.
