I have EVERYTHING I found that had the option, set to "classic",
so I assume the Desktop is as well. How do I check that? I
right click the desktop and 'properties', but the desktop tab
does not have that option in that area. On the FIRST tab,
"themes" there is a 'classic' option there in the drop-down, but
it's now set to 'modified' which it probably did after I
originally set it to 'classic' then made some changes. Is that
the area you're speaking of?

Well, I plan on staying with XP for as LONG as possible. Going
with the.... <a-hum> "windows tradition" of screwing up newer
OS', there's no telling what stunts, and spying & privacy
atrocities they are going to pull next. After XP, it looks like
it's going to be Linux for me.

Clint, have you switched the XP desktop to classic view?

Changing the icons back to a win98 standard might be possible
with a 3rd
party tool.

You are not going to enjoy the next windows Clint ;)
