Get tweakui and make sure you have enough drives enabled under My Computer.

In some cases a drive letter is over-written and can't be used again
after a USB device is connected.
I'm not sure why this should be so, but it's helped other people in the
same situation.

I have a device that is recognized on one of my computers using the
Windows XP while the other computer will not recognize this device. It
will recognize other devices though. I was going to delete the USB items
in the device manager but because I am using wireless Logitech keyboard
and mouse I would be unable to use the computer anymore. When I install
the device then go to device manager it shows up as "unknown device" and
I have tried installing other drivers but nothing seems to help. There
is no software with the device. (the device is a Iway 350 gps)
Thanks
