Try zooming in on the PDF file, then taking a screenshot with 
the print screen key.  If that doesn't work you can send me the 
file off list and I can probably get the shot out of it.  I 
have some other Adobe PDF programs.  (Let me know first you are 
sending it because I may have to give you another address and 
it may have to zipped first, or just tell me the download 
link).

Not sure which "window" at left you mean.  If it's like the 
thumbnail view, you should see an "X" or "close" or something 
like that within the window.  Also try "View" and you can 
probably uncheck something there.
