Within Acrobat Distiller; preferences I have set True Type Font: to Substitute with Device Font and not Download as Soft font.
Could someone please explain the differences between these 2 options, I have learnt the basics but not much more.
I use pdfs for print and online, but tend to use 'run of the mill' fonts, but not sure that I have chosen the right option - although Substitute with Device Font has not given me any problems, I am taking a training day next week with members of the dept and I am sure somebody is going to ask me the 'whats the difference?'.
Is it irrespective what option I choose, as I am embedding all fonts within distiller and always make sure that I have the correct font on my PC.
