No, there are no such settings. A document is either protected or
not. If not, if you can change one image you should be able to
change them all.

I used the "Print" profile in Acrobat 5.0 when creating the PDF. Specifically, are there any settings under the advanced tab that would make the image unaccessible if unchecked?
