The editing capabilities of PitStop are generally rather limited in regard
to images when OPI information is preserved. A few other tools such as e.g.
Quite A Box Of Tricks don't have such limitations.

This issue has nothing to do with PageMaker. However, PageMaker is one of
the few applications that downloads quite useful OPI information for TIFF
images via PostScript.

Hence, when asking Distiller to preserve such OPI information you also
disable reliable editing with PitStop.

All the best

Emne: [PDF] More on RGB photos

More information - the pre-press area did attempt to change the RGB images
to grayscale using Pitstop but was unable to open or alter the majority of
the photos. So the question that needs to be asked is there a setting we
need to be aware of when creating the PDF that would prevent the image from
being opened and changed?
I used the "Print" profile in Acrobat 5.0 when creating the PDF.
Specifically, are there any settings under the advanced tab that would make
the image unaccessible if unchecked?
