It is definitely a fun lens, and often quite useful. I got mine to use with the MZ-S, and yes, there is considerable distortion, but I expected that. For landscape shots without a lot of foreground detail, the distortion is barely visible. On the *ist D, the distortion is tamed considerably since I'm only using the central portion of the image.
