Okay Dan I´ll bite,
This morning on my way to work I decided to stop by the Moving Wall
memorial that is here for the week. This is a half-sized replica of the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Washington D.C. I have been to that
one and it is impressive. They have a site at http://www.TheMovingWall.org
Anyway, I had LX #1 (you can blame Shel for my numbering my LX - and
yes Shel, I do take #3 out every so often) loaded with Ektachrome 100 and
toted my SMC-A 50/1.7(chosen for its smaller size than the A50/1.4) and
SMC-F 29/2.8 out of my bag. I took only a half a roll this morning, but I
do plan to stop back before it leaves this weekend.
I also had my Nikon Coolpix 950 digital camera for the instant
gratification. Focusing was a problem with it and I have to play with it a
bit to see if I can get the desired DOF effect I know I got with the LX.
Gee, is this a partial self-enablement for the MZ-S digital twin?
Anyway, it was a sad but uplifting experience too - kind of hard to
explain. Some have seen the digital photos here at work (Air Force base)and
have been motivated to visit it. If I can do the same for others as they
view the slides I took it will make it the early morning cold worthwhile -
even if it was just 48º.
