Hmmm... you made me uncertain there. There's not much of mountains in Denmark, and it's not located on the peninsula, so my first instinct was not to include Denmark in Scandinavia, but on the other hand, if you talk anout "Scandinavian languages" you'll definately have to include Danish. And Icelandic and Faroese. But not Finnish and the different Sami languages. Oh, well. It's a mess :-D

Actually, if it weren't for the Scandic mountains, there wouldn't be any Denmark as that part would be beneath the sea.
It's not "mountainy" but it's still a part of it. :-)


You're right about the languages, Finnish is not part of the same language family. (Finnish is a part of the Finno-Ugric family.)
