Its absolutely absurd, and in actuality, using that much memory will slow the program down no matter what. Acessing the swap disk is orders of magnitude slower than main memory, and main memory is orders of magnitude slower than the CPU. So you see, using all that memory just slows everything down even so if you have enough memory for CS, its still going to be slower than PS7.

Photoshop CS seems to have taken this concept to ridiculous levels, using five times the memory (or even more) than V7, and beating the swap disk to death even on systems with 1.5GB of memory allocated to it. That's absurd, if you ask me.
