Without the grip it's too small for me.
With the grip it becomes part of me, good secure
grip, nice balance, I can "dangle" it from my fingertips
with no fear of dropping it.
The only time I've removed the gip was when I put on a 50/2
and wanted the whole thing to fit in my coat pocket.
