Lets see, K/M lenses were made for some 7 years then production discontinued, A lenses and beyond (which offer open aperture metering) have been made for some 22 years. Just on production time alone, you are going to have to go a long way to prove that one John.
Maybe you have some production figures you aren't telling us about?
