Really? So it means that when Pentax says a camera is pro spec it doesn't have any
bearing on reality? But if Canon says a camera is a pro camera it is so by default?
Neither the Dynaxx 7, F100 or the EOS 3 is pro spec cameras. And by your definition a
Leica rangefinder isn't either cause it doesn't offer 56 AF points and has a really
lousy feature/price ratio and the only way to make a pro spec camera is to copy Nikon
or Canon (and don't know where Minolta fit into this).
An MZ-S is pro grade camera as Pentax define it. It isn't supposed to be an EOS1
(which BTW isn't anymore of a pro camera than the Z-1p). The MZ-S is the small
lighweight pro built camera; it isn't supposed to offer the same as the F5. If one
doesn't understand this concept one will never understand the MZ-S.

The MZ-S is way more of a pro spec camera than the Z-1p and people must really miss
the point if they believe that a pro camera is based on feature count. If so, the LX
fails miserably. Its also rather pointless to compare the MZ-S to the Z-1p because
they are very different beasts. The Z-1p is no MZ-S substitute and vice versa.
And no sane person would have the LX as first choice for fast motorized shooting
theses days; the LX with motor is both heavy and expensive compared even to an F5.
