If I had to buy all new lenses for any DSLR, I wouldnt buy a pentax DSLR. The main advantage of buying a Pentax DSLR is if you already have a bunch of Pentax Lenses. If you dont or have to, or need to buy all new ones, I would go with canon as they have more bodies/lenses to choose from and higher level DSLR bodies with FF if wanted or needed... jco

If one is in that position (i.e. trying to make money with photography), it's a whole different level. It make a lot more sense to use the latest and greatest to maximize quality with a minimum of effort. For the hobbyist, it's a lot harder to justify big money on lenses that produce images at best marginally better than older, cheaper ones (provided they're willing to forgo the nicey new features like AF). -Cory -- ************************************************************************ * * Cory Papenfuss, Ph.D., PPSEL-IA * * Electrical Engineering * * Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University * ************************************************************************ * -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
