Hi Christine That's interesting but I wonder if Elements 7 has the same limited 16 bit support that applied to Elements 6.
I downloaded the trial version of Elements 6 some time ago because Adobe promoted the 16 bit editing features of the program. Unfortunately, 16 bit editing didn't apply if you wanted to use adjustment layers - to use those you have to convert your image to 8 bit first. Much the same as Photoshop 6 actually. Without 16 bit adjustment layers, Elements 6 offered no real advantage over the version of Photoshop that I already have. I just checked the Adobe download site for the trial version of Elements 7 but it' not available until the end of October. When it's available I'll give it a try (although it may not install on my computer as the installer may detect that I had the Elements 6 trial installed previously and spit the dummy).
