I just bought a fine set of Canadian made speakers for my son several
months back.  Those, at least, came in a pair and were boxed as such.
I can see where it could lead to confusion because in general, for a
stereo application, a pair (or 2) of speakers would be desired (unless
one is totally deaf in one ear).
