Thanks, Bran. One possibility I considered up front was that that rebate form
got linked to this offer by mistake. With the customer service rep's
persistence in the "the offer on the rebate form is the offer" interpretation
your interpretation strikes me as increasingly likely. Especially as that since
I raised the issue several days ago they have not deigned to clarify the offer.
I just find it hard to believe that a reputable company like Adorama would
engage in that sort of thing.
