That's basically how I work as well. I have folders set up in Studioline that mirror the folder configuration of the original images on my hard drive. When I need to find images, I do a metadata search in Studioline and then open the file in Photoshop (or whatever) from the corresponding folder on the hard drive (by a simple right-click > Open With option in Studioline). > I find one of the strong points about Adobe is batch processing. > If you have Photoshop, you can also batch process easily as well. Well that was one of the things I was trying to get my head around. I have CS3 and if I understand things correctly, if you batch process in Photoshop you end up with a second set of images (tiff or jpg) whereas in Lightroom you just get image adjustments embedded in the DNG or as a sidecar. Of course, it's entirely possible that I don't understand things correctly.... Probably I should download the trial version of Lightroom and investigate further. Thanks for the feedback, Bill.
