John, The legal threat of stiff fines is happening at Chipotle, the Mexican restaurant. You can read about it in the newspaper, but my local restaurant has had 100% turnover. There were no Hispanics working there the last time we visited. The sad commentary is that these folks were probably better employees than the gringos who replaced them. Regards, Bob S.
Still, if you want to halt immigration by making it illegal for them to work, the only fair way to do that is by putting the employers in jail, rather than the employees.
