Just a thought, but have you really considered looking to see if there's
an old fashion electronics repair shop in your area?
I know you said it would deprive you of your setup for a couple of
weeks, but if I had your set-up and your problem, that's where I'd be
looking for a long term solution. What's a couple of weeks deprivation
compared to the rest of your life?
Keep the good stuff & get it fixed.
