Hi,
what's the proper battery for an M42 Asahi Pentax Sp1000? I picked
one up in near mint cosmetic shape but with some health problems
(working on them now, though), and want to try the meter.

Also, if the original battery is a 1.35 mercury, will the 1.5
alkaline work well (considering that alkalines get from 1.65 to
1.25V over their life, but mercury batteries stay near 1.35 almost
all their life)? Which battery "numbers" will work in it? It is
about the half size of SR44 it seems.

A wonderful camera, it made my photography simpler (as the meter
isn't working), I put a portrait 1.8/80mm lens on it and meter
handheld, and it's great... A nice complementation to the LX I use
   normally :)

Good light,
 Frantisek Vlcek
