With flash, distance is everything. I can cover the viewing angle of a 16mm fisheye lens very well with a Sto-Fen Omnibounce but not for much distance. It does nicely indoors in a house but auditoriums are too big. I haven't really tried to see exactly how great a range can be covered using the AF500FTZ, Sto-Fen, and 16mm fisheye but that would be a good project for a weekend.
