...and that's solved a little mystery for me.
Last year I photographed an attractive red-flowering plant at Canyon
de Chelly without knowing what it was. I just took another look and
it's very similar to Ken's plant. So I think I can now put a generic
name to it - still not sure of the species, though (according to
Wikipedia there are around 200 species).

yeah, that's a very cool shot - it's even got me thinking about some new
lighting ideas out of doors; and Ken's castilleja is a very nice
composition; these are very hard to grow in the garden
