That, of course, is one of the myths about the Creative Cloud system.
The software isn't cloud based - it and your files reside on your own
computer, just as they always have.  If you let your subscription lapse,
the software will stop working (although you get a period of grace of up
to 30 days for the monthly subscription) but your files are safe and
accessible by other software.

That much is understood. However, Brian, tell me if I understand it correctly, but the following points are true:

* To work with the software you have to be at least periodically connected to the web so that the software can sync with the cloud in terms of the license.

* The software is built in such a way as to "convince" me to start storing my work on the cloud. The functionality is there, but it is more "convenient" if some of the things were done the "cloud-way".

* Statistics and use patters are collected. This point is of course doubtful, because regular software can do the same.

In my case, until Adobe get too greedy - then I'll go back to my CS3 -or
maybe I'll buy a copy of Lightroom, assuming Adobe continues to sell it.

That goes without saying.
