I agree. I think the price of the K-01 was fair for the image quality
and build quality of the camera (which is brilliant), at least for its
day, but the price was way too high for the target demographic of
people just getting into interchangeable-lens cameras. If they'd
managed to get it down to the $600 range – even at the expense of
cheapening the build quality – it would have done much better.

Going for around $250 on eBay it's a steal.
