Windows 10 is a F****** ABOMINATION!

39 hours for the first installation attempt that failed because the
installer can't detect the correct CPU and tried to install an AMD 64
version on a system with an Intel i7 CPU.

37 hours for the second installation attempt that although it finally
got through to a log-in could not be shut down.

I finally had to resort to the power button on the system case to
FORCE shutdown.

Now it won't start. I get that windoze10 splash screen and an
endlessly rotating string of dots. TNo way to force it into SAFE MODE.

The existing copy of Windoze 7 that I already have will be reinstalled
and is the last Micro$haft product I will ever buy. If Photoshop would
run on Linux, I wouldn't even bother with that.

Hmm - it's tales like this that make me glad I resisted the temptation
to upgrade from Win7. It works; it does what I want; I'm leaving well

Also my PC is so low spec that I'm almost certain I'd run into worse
problems than you have.

I've upgraded three machines; the lowest-spec one was an older HP laptop
with dual celeron processors. That one took over 12 hours to run through
the installation process, but it eventually got there.

My only problems have been with the network; sometimes when one machine
boots up it can't connect to my wireless network. I still haven't found
out the best incantation to fix this problem, but so far I've have always
been able to connect eventually.
