I believe the MZ-3 to have the same auto-focus system as the MZ5(n), which is quite fast IF there is enough light. Metering of the MZ5/MZ3 is, in my opinion, excellent. MZ-S should be about the same but then somewhat faster, and the metering is also more advanced. You get what you pay for,
