Yes, D60 and D100 are really sensible productgs at the moment. Best
choice, I think.

I'm very eager to see, when a Pentax DSLR will be available. The 2nd and
3rd generations will follow very quickly. The really strange thing in
this situation is, that we are talking about first and second generation
models, but the life cycles have become so short with capabilities
doubling each time, that I am convinced, that we are still in the first
generation phase. In five years or so we will have the optimal chip size
and resolution - maybe 50MP full frame - an we will look back on all the
different DSLRs of theese days as first generation. We won't make a
difference between 3, 6, 11 or 14MP.

Interesting. You're right - if full frame chips won't get cheaper an
better available, then they might be left to a small Pro market and a
different solution - actually OlyDak - will rule the amateur market. But
I really hope, that the OlyDak system is on a similar rout as the pocket
system and APS...;-) I really would prefer a full frame system. OTOH it
might be possible that we will have to rethink and OlyDak is really the
better way for the digital medium. We will see...

BTW - my Optio has arrived and I love it. I was able to use it without a
view into the manual. The metering anf focus functions are identical to
those of my MZ-5n. I hope the results are just as good as the handling.

Regards,

Heiko
