Tony,
I just have to comment.
From what I read from various lists with OrCAD users, you think you are
any better off with a tool that has been delegated to foreign ESL programmers
to simply maintain? Remember that on any such a list what you will mostly see
is everyone's problems and gripes, people don't typically take the time to post
their praises or successes where other tools may have failed them or not been
on par with the task at hand.
I do note that a large number of users that I know are subscribed to
the forum are not posting, therefore I have to assume that they are not having
any difficulties or issues. Those members are largely the former top posters in
this forum (Ian, Darren and other former PEDA members). So is DXP so bad, I
don't see anything that causes me concern when you look at the posts with an
open thoughtful mind trying to figure out what are the real problems and what
are the user problems.
Sincerely,

getting rid of the email list is a very good marketing strategy by
altium. we use orcad 9.1 (1999) and we were considering moving to protel
the more i read the email list the more i want to stick to orcad
thanks to the ppl who started this list, you may have stopped us from
wasting a lot of time
