Hi all, Thanks for your help. I reckon I've ticked and/or unticked every setting in the Nvidia software to no avail. Each option has its bonuses and pitfalls :(
The main reason I am spanning my PCB across two screens is that I went from one CRT monitor capable of 1600x1200 resolution to two LCDs capable of only 1280x1024. I wanted to span the PCB across 2 screens so that I wouldn't be taking a backward step in terms of visibility. Looks like I put up with the lower resolution or the centralized dialog box... Just a matter of getting used to it I guess. Two screens comes with big bonuses, so I won't be going back to one in a hurry! Have never found a manner to change it, but have honestly never looked hard. The worst is the vertical split shifting when you work in the right monitor, for that reason I usually set it up so that the left is the main monitor I do the most work in. If I need to change my focus from PCB to SCH or vice versa, I re-split the screen so that I keep the majority of my work in the left monitor. Protel is great spread across both screens, except for one thing. Whenever I pull up a dialog box (pad properties etc) it pops up in the centre - i.e. - split across both screens and I have to constantly move it to get a clear view of it. I have the latest drivers and have tried just about every setting to fix this but I'm thinking it's hard coded in to Protel. My question is - what does everyone else who's running dual monitors do about this? ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
