Darren,
While I do not use DXP or AD yet, I do follow the forum daily and have
to say that just within the last month or two the number of bugs, or major
feature problems showing up in AD6.0 seems to be staggering. i.e. ODB++ output
that is incorrect (missing internal plane/layer pads) is just one critical
example. It seems the initial honeymoon excitement has worn off and enough
users have had enough time to actually discover these bugs/inoperable features
recently.

Igor,
I strongly agree with your comments but I would change "I get all the
features I want in the first release." to "I get the features that I paid for
in a format that actually works." That is what truly seems to take forever and
a day while they continually add new features and new bugs. They can't ever put
out the raging forest fire because they are too busy battling the spot fires
running ahead of the main blaze.

Sincerely,

Hi All,

AD6 seems to be in good shape now, any small issues are way
less then the features that have been gained. AD6 from SP4
was really a small change, in that unlike the past, the core
operation hasn't been changed. The first versions in years
gone by have been shockers, I still have a list in my Protel
file from the version 3 release, many pages long.
