The quicker turn around for fixes has to be a good thing for sure, the SP's sometimes had a year in-between. > And after 12 months? Altium told me that both ways should cost about the same, only with maintenance you get telephone support, and maybe something else. The maintenance is for companies that require an on going fixed cost, so they can budget for it. But depending when you start maintenance, you might be paying in advance. > Bugs and features, sorry, I still can't get over the chage > from P99 to DXP. And same thing happens > elsewhere, as was mentioned on the forum. I'm yet to see that this is happening, seems some people are confused about what they were offered. There was a deal before the end of Dec, but of course that has expired. It did take me several emails and calls to get the details of what was offered and included. I sent an email to management telling them how difficult that was. But the pricing didn't change as far as I can recall. > Today I read a quote about experience: it is the ability to > recognise your mistakes when you do them again. This time however I have just moved across to AD6, I still have SP4 installed in parallel should I need it, so far that hasn't been the case. > Still like it, though, as I know it will become good after > couple of SPs. > The main reason is that it is still intuitive.
