Ridgh, There are lots of help files in PDF format. Some relevant ones are "Getting Started with PCB Design", "Gerber Output Options", "NC Drill Output Options", and "Pick and Place Output Options". I've omitted the alpha-numeric prefix as AD4's PDFs are not the same as AD6's. Search for these on your hard drive. Join the Altium forum as Jim mentioned below. I think these PDFs are on Altium's web site also.
FYI, AD6 and DXP2004 are the same with respect to getting to the area to create gerber output. Welcome to PCB layout Ridgh, and good luck! Cheers! I'm sure you'll get a fast solution there. I am using AD6 and skipped over DXP so I'm not sure how You create gerbers in DXP2004. In AD6 go to File/Fabrication Outputs/Gerber Files Regards, Jim -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ridgh Sent: Wednesday, June 27, 2007 10:23 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [PEDA] Need help to convert .pcbdoc to Gerber files Hello, I need very much your help: I am relative newbie in PCB production. At my new workplace is installed Protel DXP 2004. Usually I use to draw 1 layer PCBs and sometimes 2 layers. The output files I'm getting are .PcbDoc files. I've been asked to send for production Gerber files, so I've tried the option Export->Gerber. It opened another window, named "Camtastic" and got a file with the .CAM . The problem is that any PCB manufacturer I've asked doesn't know this format, so, as I assume that you are the professional ones, I'll be very thankful for your help. How can I convert it to Gerber files? All I need is a top, mechanical, solder mask and drilling layers. Thank you in advance, Ridgh ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
