It looks to me that I'll have to learn again all the DXP features...
Up to now I I've been asked to give the manufacturer only a high quality
print of the designs, and he "exported" them to a film in "Zincography" -
high contrast,  (the very old fashion way)... but now I'm being asked to
send the Gerber files.
So, as I see, I have to learn from the beginning...

Ridgh,

You don't need to convert the files back to Protel.
You can generate the gerbers out of the Altium Designer PCB file.
If things are messed up, probably the apertures are wrong or missing.
