Brad, once a flame war begins, ugly things tend to be said by all
participants.  Once said, they are rarely forgotten without some effort.

You asked what you should do in response to the various phrases that
you  listed.  I suspect that you were more interested in making a point
by listing the phrases than eliciting my advice, but I will take you at
your word and give you my advice.

First of all, you and everybody else on the list, should forgive and
forget the nastiness that has transpired.  Second, avoid raising
contentious issues that have already been gone over numerous times.  For
example, it serves no purpose to remind the rest of us of your estimates
of deaths caused by various socialist regimes.  Repetition does not
constitute much of a contribution in a discussion.  I can learn from you
even when I disagree with you when you tell me something new.
