During the Sit-Down strikes in Michigan, FDR announced to the public that he was neutral. At the same time he was on the phone to Gov. Murphy of Michigan urging him to call out the National Guard to break the strikes. The Unions were _strong_ in the mid-30s, and therefore FDR supported them. Bill has the cause-effect relationship reversed. I notice that no one is even _talking_ about repeal of the prohibition of secondary boycotts. A Union movement that cannot/will not use that weapon is not a movement.
