It's more practical, includes visual design, and it's about communicating
with people. I'm sure the ratio doesn't extend to the business of
designing and implementing the protocols for WWW and ecommerce.
My CS class (Cambridge Tripos - the educational structure is different
there from the US, or for that matter, many places in the UK) in 1981 had
IIRC 3 women. Out of about 120.
Cripes.
Thank God the figures for the industry got better after that, or I'd never
have gotten married :-)
