It can do that with the spring model too. Gotta adjust the height, and a Tizit 
is a good idea. Weight on the reproducer from the horn has to be considered too.

People I know have one and it lifts up the reproducer one the one end of the 
record, on the other is it way too heavy on a fireside.  My idea is to convert 
it to the new style.  Thanks for the reply, I never gave this any thought until 
they had the problem.
