That's arguable, there are many people who would say the same about IBM's DB2. 
According to TPC (http://www.tpc.org/tpcc/results/tpcc_perf_results.asp)  
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is faster and has lower cost per transaction. So 
claims about greatness of Oracle and greatly exaggerated.
