I use rsync to maintain a consistent database on the 3 computers that I
use for planner (MacOS, Linux, Windows) because ssh and rsync are
available for all three. This does mean that I must execute a shell
command before switching machines. It has not been a problem for me
because I will have both machines available when I switch from one to
another.

I've considered using a source code control system to do more
sophisticated sharing, but that would mean special dealing with things
like Task IDs.
