I installed SWIG and so got the Python bindings working, and saw good results
along the way, unfortunately my script was not up to the deletion of the
comprehensive_test_disposeable directory ;). The details have now been lost. I
will have to redo this. Or better: review the script and set the computer to
work.
Anyway, this new version will test a bit more parts of PLplot, but I could not
find a Java development package under Cygwin, not in the Cygwin setup, that is.
So for the moment it will only be Python that gets thrown into the mix as far
as the language bindings are concerned. I will have to see if some of others
are useable.
